Maha's Story (マハの話) is a series made by Masa, beginning with the release of Encantada on March 11th, 2013, and so far has stopped at the song KOWLOON HANTEN, released on May 1st, 2020.

Background[]

Origins[]

The series was conceived because Masa wanted to create a manga, desiring to draw battle scenes, but time constraints led him to focus solely on turning it into songs instead.

Canon Information[]

Maha's Story Worldview[]

Long ago, a great rebellion erupted in Hell, making it difficult for the gods to control. In response, the gods closed the door at the peak of Purgatory Mountain, which leads to Heaven. However, demons and sinners from Hell sought to overthrow Heaven, passing through the Netherworld and the human realm, only to clash with the archangels who sought to prevent them. This conflict escalated into a grand war involving the human and demon realms.

Subsequently, with the abnormal strength of the true ancestor of the Netherworld, the demons were frozen along with Hell in an icy prison. Yet, the wrath of the ancestor persisted, leading her to head towards Purgatory Mountain in a bid to bring down Heaven. There, she clashed with the guide, leading to a prolonged battle that culminated in reconciliation, bringing an end to the great war. And so, several hundred years later, in a changed landscape of the human realm, the story begins in the city of Encantada, located within Egypt.

POLICE No.13's Description[]

Mentalism Maria's Description[]

Brief Insights - Part One[]

[Maria] advocated for salvation, such as liberating the mad in the Tower of Spirits, but in truth, she led patients into human experimentation. As a result, she was feared and referred to by the patients as "Kyoukai no Maria" (Church of Maria). Despite her eccentricities, she was known to possess a deep sense of familial love, as she had preserved and embalmed the bodies of her deceased mother and brother, who died of illness.

Brief Insights - Part Two[]

There are several reasons why Maria uses an alias. Firstly, Kanzaki is her mother's surname. It is rumored that she does not want to tarnish the name given to her by her beloved mother.

Brief Insights - Part Three[]

Before her passing, her mother, a brilliant scientist, named her after the lunar seas, Luna Maria. Interestingly, her father was a psychologist who had once deciphered the texts of the Infernal Heretic Prayers. However, shortly after Maria's birth, he was discovered dead at sea.

Chinese Dogma's Description[]

Encantada's Description[]

In a distant past, there existed a city that surpassed all bounds of normalcy. Long ago in Asia, it was believed that consuming human flesh could bestow eternal life. Ruled by a rapacious king, that city was consumed by an abnormal fervor of faith. Ingram, pills, Tokarev, and the orphan's song... the night metropolis, Encantada.

KOWLOON HANTEN's Description[]

To secure Rakurai, Maria and Chlordane infiltrated the Kowloon district. They decided to open a restaurant using Maha's funds to gather information, but due to their poor culinary skills, they ended up in significant debt. With their funds depleted, they resorted to earning money through sex appeal and violence, leading to great success.

Impact Death Entity's Description[]

Truly a rare spin-off! Decades after the conflict with Chlordane, Entity, who had been frustrated for so long, is given a task in the human realm by the gods! "Yippee!" With that, Entity eagerly leaps into the human realm where Chlordane resides, ready for the new challenge!

Mentalism Maria[]

The song talks about Maria and how she studies human spirits through cruel, inhumane, and violent taboo rituals. These rituals and experiments are supervised by government officials.

The government then deems her experiments so inhumane that they exiled her from the country. However, this did not seem to stop her, and she fled to Japan to continue her experiments and research. One day, she comes across a small, abandoned, and hidden village, and enters the basement of a home where she unseals a demon named Tsukuyomi, the founder of the mythical and now-extinct Oborodzuka Clan. The two are eventually persuaded by a woman called Chlordane to join a cult called Maha.

Chinese Dogma[]

Chlordane and one of her trusted friends, Rakurai, unseal a demon named Morian, and he becomes a member of Maha.

Along with Morian, Maria, Phyrexia, Fen, Decoy, Anubis, and Shogun all join Maha as well. It is also assumed that a woman called Echidna joins Maha at this time; she just wasn't featured in the song.

Encantada/Koji no Uta[]

Morian, now free, discovers the city of Encantada and kills a drug dealer named Borel Ase. Fearing for the safety of Maha, Echidna sacrifices a prostitute and exotic dancer in order to attempt to appease him, which he accepts. Some lines in the lyrics hint that the two later devour the dancer's corpse.

Ergonomic Hero[]

Though not part of Maha's Story, the song features a Maha member facing off against a government officer 200 years after the creation of Maha.

Trivia[]

  • Maha's Story takes place in the same universe as the Onibi series and the Sister's Story.
